Bristol to London: Getting into the capital
The first leg of your journey is the train from Bristol to London Paddington. There are around two Great Western Railway trains an hour from Bristol Temple Meads station, direct to Paddington without the need to change trains. The journey on the train should take around 1 hour 45 minutes.

Locating the Heathrow Express in Paddington
Once you arrive at Paddington, you’ll get off your Great Western Railway train and then simply stroll to either platform six or seven to take the Heathrow Express to Heathrow Airport. You don’t need to head into the main station concourse at Paddington or go through the ticket barriers again. And with Heathrow Express trains leaving every 15 minutes, you’ll make a quick connection between trains at Paddington station.

The Heathrow Express is the fastest and smoothest way to get from London Paddington to Heathrow Airport.
Heathrow Express trains leave Paddington every 15 minutes, with four trains running every hour. Our services are direct into Heathrow Central, with no stops along the way. It takes just 15 minutes to arrive at Heathrow Central station, and an extra six minutes to arrive at Terminal 5 station.
There is plenty of room on our Heathrow Express trains, with ample space in our seats whether you travel on Standard Class or Business First Class. You’ll find Wi-Fi throughout, and our seats are super comfy. Customers travelling on Business First Class get their own table and plug sockets to catch up on any last-minute work before arriving at the airport, and even get Free Fast Track through security at Heathrow. Children aged 15 and under also travel for free on Heathrow Express.

Arriving by train into Heathrow
The journey from London Paddington to Heathrow Airport takes just 15 minutes on the Heathrow Express. You’ll first arrive at Heathrow Central station, which is in between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 – it’s just a short walk to either terminal. If your flight is leaving from Terminal 4, it’s a quick shuttle bus ride from Heathrow Central to the terminal. For flights from Terminal 5, stay on the Heathrow Express for an extra six minutes into Terminal 5 station.
